Fashion’s best kept secret is no more
The store North Dallas passes to and from work on the busy intersection of Preston Rd and Forest Ln is no longer the secret the ladies of North Dallas keep private. Their success proves that knowing your customer is good business. Nancy Fossee, the owner and head buyer for the store actually knows her customers so well, she goes to market to buy for them. In fact, they are one of the few stores in the metroplex who carry narrows as well as slenders.
It’s not just your mamma’s store.
Hot styles from Donald Pliner to Cole Haan and Stuart Weitzman all come in slenders and narrows and range from 4 up to 10. Product doesn’t stay shelved for long and visiting the store monthly is encouraged as new products find their way often.
Fossee actually studied Fashion Merchandising and Marketing and went head on into working for major department stores for 20 years. It was during that time the idea of opening up a store entered her mind. It was a huge leap of faith when the Preston Forest location was opened. The first day was frightening as she recounted, “The store opened at 10am to no one…and we were like, uh oh. But by 11am it was packed and merchandize was almost empty”.
The following Monday, Fossee had to head to New York to restock the store. Success was hers! When asked why the store resonates so well with customers she replies, “We offer better quality merchandise and great service and fit for people who want to look fashionable but don’t want to pay top price”. Since the launch, they have added clothing and handbags to compliment the wide range of shoes.
Some noteworthy new vendors coming for fall are:
Isabella Fiore Handbags offering a new line of high fashion handbags, Sandra Robert’s new line Sandra Square www.ebigbuddha.com Big Buddha (Fossee’s was one of the first to carry the line in Dallas). On the clothing front expect to see Simon Chang and Demin makes an overhaul from the straight leg to the jean jegging. Most exciting will be the inventory of almost 20 different boot manufacturers.

Denim (dark) straight jegging and the denim jacket
Military treatment
Ruffles and light weight sweaters (no wool)
When women walk in for the first time the staff is usually informed that the customer had no idea Fossee’s carries all of this and surprised about the clothes and handbags and they love the merchandize.
