Makeup artist to celebrities and artists alike, Julianna Pabst is showing women that not only is beauty on the inside, but it can be enhanced on the outside as well. Local makeup fav, Pabst always knew her life’s dream. As she recalled “I always knew my calling. I used to dress up my little dog, neighbors, girlfriends. I loved making them feel and look beautiful with color…I never thought I would be making a living doing what I love but I followed my passion!” Ironically, as this was a 2 part interview, Pabst was called in for a Super Bowl spot and we had to finish after she had been on set for almost a week.
Educated in San Francisco at the famous Kryolan Makeup Institute, Pabst studied special effects for tv and film. Shortly after, her career blossomed with work in Los Angeles in theatre and film. Pabst, began working, experimenting and mastering how light effects the face and how makeup can be used to emphasize or mask features.
Pabst’s busy schedule has her working all over and needing to be centrally located in Dallas is perfect. She loves the influx of diversity the metroplex has to offer and the fashion influence the city has become. While in Dallas, Pabst is called in for print and runway work and her talent is indeed in demand.
When Pabst isn’t jet setting around the globe working with celebrities, she is assisting local women in finding their inner A lister self. Pabst opened up Julianna Skin Care as a more intimate experience vehicle to promote her talent on set and behind the camera as well as to the public arena. She both educates and informs her clients about the importance of skin health and tips for bringing out the beauty from within. She teaches women of all backgrounds how to transition from Dawn (at work) to Dusk (about town) and gives away little known Hollywood secrets to looking fabulous.
