If you are a true local then chances are you like a good meal. If you are new to Dallas then we know you should like a good meal. The metroplex has a wide variety of restaurants and cuisines to pick from. And fortunately, Mama Pita is not your father’s pita shop. Atmosphere is clean, friendly, attractive and its fusion of Mediterranean cuisine with an American appeal has this benchmark location a sure fire for curious and healthy seeking taste buds.
Personally, my quest for the best hummus in Dallas is over. They serve a 60 year old tried and tested recipe that is out of this world. And, if you are interested something a little different than the original flavor, they have a Red Beet and Carrot Hummus that are unbelievable.
Restaurant owner, Bechara Harfouche’s passion is evident when discussing food. This is probably because he knows food around the world. Portion size is generous, complete meals start at $7 and the entire concept is centered on building your own plate.
When going with friends or family to Mama Pita, be ready to share with all at the table… the menu simply has too many items that are too delicious to pass up. And did I mention fresh?
Changes to the menu:
Though the flatbread is perfect and even lighter than a tortilla, they will soon be adding pita for those sandwich eaters.
