The Store That’s Like A Box of …
It’s hard to understand how few stores just get it--- while many don’t ever know they never had it! Talulah Belle, a Lakewood treasure that shares its appeal with the rest of us not lucky enough to call that part of the city home. They understand that retail should, above all things, be an experience for the customer. Elizabeth Mast has been the owner for 8 years and from day one her vision has been the driving force.
Mast self describes the store, “The everything neighborhood boutique”, and she’s right. To name just a few product classifications: Candles, Home Décor, Shoes and Clothing, Beauty Products and Pet Specialty items. Some of her clients visit the shop 3 or more times a week as they are always changing their unique inventory and everyone wants to be the first to grab what’s hot.
The store, though feels more like a chest filled with great treasures is only enhanced and complimented by her friendly staff…We dig Mandi! As for sourcing new products, that’s a novel concept they do as well. Much of what is sold in the store is local to Texas from Dallas to Houston, local designers and jewelry makers as well as small manufacturers actually get their showcase with Talulah Belle.
We don’t mean to make you blush!
Ok…so local, unknown companies get a shot with the store, but what about hard to find products from the established, sought after companies that don’t sell to just any retailer choosing to keep its products exclusive …?

A fragrance that has everyone and I mean everyone in Hollywood crazy for-- is only sold in 2 Dallas stores and yep, you guessed it, Talulah Belle is one of them!

A great vibe and wow what an experience for the senses just stepping into the store. Warm and cozy smells… fabulous atmosphere…wonderful staff. Try spending JUST an hour relaxing and looking around the store. And… this unique store also gives back. The once a year sale happens around Labor Day and donates to a different charity each year.

My only advice--- take what you want to purchase to the register, but walk around one last time because chances are, you will have missed something you will later regret!
